Despite there being some rain this week the ground is still bone dry. Which makes the first climb out of town pretty horrible as it needs a bit of moisture to bind the surface together;
It's not much fun to ride down either.
However, the moors are now rideable, so I can climb up to one of my favourite spots for a tea break;
A fine morning for riding up a hill and drinking tea;
This is a track that I wouldn't ride unless it's either baked dry or frozen solid;
Yesterday I was in the quarry kayaking, and even there I noticed that the water level is dropping quite quickly.
I'm going to note the number of e-mtbs to normal mtbs, just for fun. Today's ratio was 7:1, my bike being the only non-e.
